This stunning piece features a highly detailed pyrography artwork of a hatching green sea turtle, meticulously wood-burned onto a 10x12-inch live edge basswood slab. The natural bark border frames the scene beautifully, adding rustic texture to the smooth wood grain.

The artwork captures the exact moment a baby sea turtle emerges from its shell. Every element is brought to life using precise shading techniques, showcasing the intricate mosaic patterns on the turtle's flippers, the smooth curves of its shell, and the deep, lifelike expression in its eye. Delicate cracks spiderweb across the eggshell, surrounded by tiny broken fragments at the base to create a realistic sense of depth and narrative.  This piece is currently on display at Niceville Slabs and Cookies in Niceville, FL.
